Pre-incubation – “Spark” Program

AIC-NIFIE offers a pre-incubation program “Spark” to nurture innovative ideas, which have a potential to become large businesses.

The goal of the program is to critically evaluate the idea and develop a detailed business plan using “BMC – Business Model Canvas”, “Lean Business Canvas” and “Value Proposition Framework” concepts.

All startup enthusiasts who have innovative ideas which have a potential to become viable businesses can apply to this program. The team may just have an idea or have developed the idea into lab POC, can also apply to this program. The program is open for all those who have recently formed a legal entity in India or not formed yet. Preference will be given to ideas having patents.

The program will focus on the following activities:

1. Idea validation
2. Technology assessment
3. Customer Discovery
4. Business Plan (Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas) preparation
5. Developing a Proof of Concept
6. Explore possibilities of grants for the startup at this stage.

AIC-NIFIE will support the founder and startup team in following aspects:

1. Business mentoring for the business planning
2. Guidance in applying for various grants
3. Access to Patent attorneys and patent filing organizations
4. Access to company formation organizations
5. Access to office facilities, programs and other networking events at AIC-NIFIE.

Program duration

The program duration will be one year initially and can be extended on request for additional one year.
