Modern industries and plants are growing rapidly and are complex in nature. The lack of appropriate safety measures leading to incidents/accidents in these complex plants have been a source of increasing concern. The increasingly critical examination of the adequacy of the existing appropriate hazard and Risk assessment approaches and having appropriate process safety is need of an hour. The individuals working in industry and those who aspire to work in industry must have knowledge about qualitative and quantitative risk assessment approaches. The program provides theoretical and practical insights about Process Safety Management, legislative frameworks, specific Hazards Identification and Risk Analysis methods, the root cause of accidents and investigation, Behaviour based safety with case discussion and case studies, real-life experiences, table top exercise to have in-depth understanding about Hazard and risk assessment.

The program will highlight the nature, responsibilities, methods and documentation required in the performance of such studies. The program will ensures that the hazard and risk assessment studies are conducted using appropriate tools and techniques in a timely manner along with effective implementation as may be prescribed by a company’s Process Safety Management (PSM) Policy.

  • Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Case exercise
  • Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and Case exercise
  • Management of Change (MOC) and Quantitative risk analysis using ALOHA
  • Response and recovery in disaster management plan 
  • Safety Audits and Inspections
  • Loss prevention and Accident investigation.
  • Behavioural-based safety (BBS) and Planning & Implementation of BBS
