The lack of appropriate safety measures leading to incidents/accidents in these complex plants have been a source of increasing concern. The increasingly critical examination of the adequacy of the existing appropriate hazard and Risk assessment approaches and having appropriate process safety is need of an hour. The individuals working in industry and those who aspire to work in industry must have knowledge about qualitative and quantitative risk assessment approaches.
