About the Program:
Understanding corporate governance and behavioural dynamics is crucial for guiding, governing, and overseeing the strategic direction and ethical conduct of organisations. The values, motivations, and biases that board members bring—as well as the interpersonal dynamics they display—not only shape organisational outcomes but also influence how those outcomes are pursued. Deep awareness of such behaviours could not only aid organisations but also board members in steering autonomy in undertaking appropriate stands on corporate conduct, managing organisational risk appetite, evaluating various strategic decisions, and building stakeholder trust.
This program is designed to equip aspiring board members, senior executives, and governance professionals with a nuanced understanding of the evolving governance landscape and boardroom leadership. Organisations can also explore this platform to understand the behavioural dynamics of board members through the lens of Transactional Analysis (TA). This psychological framework helps decode communication patterns, role positions, and power dynamics in board interactions. Emphasis will be placed on boardroom processes, paradoxes in ethical and strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, the role of independent directors, and the regulatory landscape.
The programme also includes elements on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) accountability and digital governance.
