Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur through video conferencing on January 2, 2021, and later inaugurated it by visiting the campus on February 3, 2024. Conveniently located near Hirakud Railway Station, Sambalpur City, and Jharsuguda Airport, it embodies Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal's vision with its integration of Odisha's traditional IKAT art on its brick facade, showcasing the state's vibrant colors.

IIM Mumbai, formerly NITIE, established in 1963, is ranked 7th among Indian management schools by NIRF 2023 in its Diamond Jubilee year. Specializing in industrial management, supply chain, and operations, it emphasizes on transformative education and industry-inspired research. With strong connections across sectors, it aims to propel Indian businesses globally, fostering innovation, leadership, and competitiveness in management education.
