IIM Mumbai faculty visited the prestigious Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geoinformatics (BISAG-N) (Gujarat) to explore collaboration opportunities under the PM GATISHAKTI initiative. The collaboration aims to synchronise efforts of the two institutes in their domains of expertise, namely geospatial location mapping of India, satellite communications and tool development through data analytics, in order to strengthen India's logistics infrastructure and business capabilities
Fruitful and exciting discussions were held in this direction with the Director General of BISAG-N, Shri T.P. Singh, by the visiting team of Prof. VB Khanapuri (DEAN SRIC) and Prof. Sushmita Narayana.
The team also had a tour of the various facilities of BISAG-N, namely the broadcasting studio and the centre for Space & Geo-spatial Technology based Applications where they were briefed on various activities by Project Director, Ajay Patel, Mr. Sumit Prajapati and Mr. Apurva Dalwade .
IIM Mumbai team is thankful to team BISAG for hosting them and we look forward to launching exciting joint initiatives in the near future that will benefit students and professionals in the supply chain domain in India.
This visit is one among the many visionary efforts of Director Manoj Tiwari in transforming IIM Mumbai as the national hub for cutting edge expertise and education in logistics and supply chain management.
