As part of the celebrations of 75 years of Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav), our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced that the Centre will launch ‘PM Gati Shakti Master Plan,’ an Rs. One hundred lakh-crore projects for developing ‘holistic infrastructure.’ PM Gati Shakti was launched formally in October 2021. It is designed as a National Master Plan for Multi-modal Connectivity, a digital platform to bring 16 Ministries, including Railways, Civil Aviation, MEITY, Shipping, and Road Transport, together for integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects. Every participating Institute should have a designated nodal officer. The nodal officer will register on the portal and upload all the details of upcoming & completed courses along with the course structure.
IIM Mumbai has already designed indicative courses under PM Gati Shakti, which could be taken as a reference by the Institutes while designing courses. Also, participating Institutes can design and offer their own courses that align with the requirements of PM Gati Shakti.
Courses that satisfy the goal and objective of PM Gati Shakti, i.e., courses that encompass the seven engines for economic transformation, seamless multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency and aligning six pillars of Gati Shakti, can be floated.
No, the portal is only for registration of Institutes that are participating in offering the courses under PM Gati Shakti.
The participating Institutes can decide the mode of the classes. It could be online or offline or a combination of both.
Participating institutes can float these courses at any time of their convenience during the year.
The fees to be charged per candidate is dependent on the participating Institute. The course offering Institute is entirely independent to set its course fee as per the norms followed by the institute.
There is no upper & lower limit for the number of registrations in each course.
