NITIE, Mumbai celebrated Constitution Day 2022

NITIE, Mumbai will get IIM status very soon - Rahul Narwekar

The need for an IIM in Mumbai has been felt for the last many years. Since the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai has been a bastion of higher education in the field of management for the last 6 decades. We think this wait will end soon and NITIE Mumbai will get IIM status. Mr. Rahul Narwekar, Hon’ble Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was delivering his speech as the chief guest at the Constitution Day function on 26th November 2022 at NITIE, Mumbai.

He said that no society or country can run without law. That's why we all should follow the law. Indian Constitution is the best in the world and it has the power to tackle all problems confronting the nation today. He mesmerized the gathering with his powerful address befitting the theme Essence of the Indian Constitution in Amrit Kal. He said the Constitution is not just a document but the spirit of the people. It gives power to the executive, legislature, and judiciary. It is a guidebook that binds every Indian. We are grateful to him for enlightening us about the importance of the constitution in integrating diverse cultures in the country, making India united for the past 75 years. Rules and frameworks set by the constitution will be the guiding force for India's growth. Under the Visionary leadership of honorable PM Narendra Modi, we are now the fifth-largest economy, have unity in diversity, and are the youngest nation in the world. So, the path is set for our country to become the First economy and lead the world on many fronts. He also commemorated the martyrs of the 26/11 attack. Their stories have indeed ignited a spark in our students. He said that the constitution captures the essence of what this great nation stands for.

Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director of NITIE, mentioned the importance of the constitution in bringing equality into society. Prof Shirish Sangle, Dean of Faculty Affairs & Chairperson of the constitutional committee, Prof. Vivekanand Khanapuri Dean, SRIC, and Prof. Balkrishna Eknath Narkhede, Acting Registrar, were instrumental in organizing the event.
