Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) - Women

The Internal Complaint Committee is constituted to Prevent Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace. The Objectives of ICC includes, developing policy against sexual harassment of women at the Institute and ensuring its implementation; to raise awareness on sexual harassment in its various forms and to create a secure physical and social environment through the procedures and mechanisms of redressal of complaints, and work towards prevention of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence at the Institute.

Composition

ICC has a membership of three to four persons, of which at least half the members are women. Chairperson of the Committee is a woman faculty member.

Role of the Committee

To create awareness about sexual harassment and to deal with and recommend punishment for non-consensual acts of sexual harassment through preventive measures, developing gender sensitivity and remedial actions.
