Course Structure

  • General Management Programme (GMP) is distributed into two semesters. Academic input is delivered through Core and Elective courses which provide the participants with the fundamental concepts and analytical skills. The elective courses give the participants a profound understanding of different functional areas and enable them to specialize in areas of their preference.
  • An amalgamation of the elective subjects with the core subjects assists the participants in developing a detailed insight of the interrelationships in business management. This not only make them more efficacious in the jobs they embrace on their transition to the corporate world but also help them in better comprehension of the issue and challenges in other domains of the organization.
  • At IIM Mumbai the predominant pedagogical tool used is case studies along with projects, assignemts, applied learning labs and seminars. In addition, a visit to different industries is also planned for better understanding of real work environment.
